Hi there, my name is Frank. I’m a 37 year part gamer, part goth, avid daydreamer, with a passing interest in sports, and a random smattering of other pursuits. I’m bad at starting conversations, so I plan to blog about things in my life that I don’t manage to talk about through other means. Some of this will include reviews of games, books, music, and movies (though I don’t see that many).
Why my blog is called Iggy’s Den:
For better or worse, a major factor in my online “identity” is that I played Everquest for a really long time (1998-2009 with some breaks in there). Whilst playing, my “main” character for most of that time was a Wood Elf Rogue named Igraine. Somewhere along the line, people started referring to me as Iggy (shortening names to make them faster to type seemed to be a regular practice in EQ). The name kind of seemed to fit. It sounded kind of like a mad scientist, and while I am neither a scientist and only mad on occasion, I do sort of have that look. Similarly, I’d like to think I’m somewhat Roguish, but I don’t think I really am (except that I lurk in the shadows as I’m horribly introverted). Thus, the Den part of the name references the Rogue part, as in Thieves’ Den.
